Integrated Korean Advanced Intermediate

The Advanced Intermediate Level texts are the third of a five-level series developed collaboratively by leading classroom teachers and linguists of Korean. All series volumes have been developed in accordance with performance-based principles and methodology–learner-centeredness, contextualization, use of authentic materials, function/task-orientedness, balance between skill getting and skill using, and integration of speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture. Grammar points are systematically introduced with simple but adequate explanations and abundant examples, exercises, and drills.

Each lesson of this volume consists of pre-reading activities, one or two main reading texts, new words, useful expressions, exercises, comprehension questions, related reading, discussion and composition, and English translation of the reading texts.

Is KLEAR going to publish a grammar reference book? That would be extremely helpful, especially since the other KLEAR publications have been so good.

To achieve proficient in typical daily newspaper, magazine, and office documents reading, which level of Korean must a person achieve/complete – i.e. Integrated Korean Advanced Intermediate Book 1, Integrated Korean Advanced 1, Integrated Korean High Advanced 2, or?

Can someone advise me on this?  My objective is to understand and plan out my study.  I want to reach a level where I can read 75% of the typical daily newspaper and magazine content.  I prefer to achieve this through study via the KlearTextBook series.  No legal obligation on this; I just want some rough guidance.  Thank you.  Any advice is appreciated.

It really depends on your vocabulary capacity. If you can manage Advanced level materials, you should be able to read authentic materials.

Any updates on when the second edition will be out? I see that Jim asked about 4 years ago, but just wondering if there are any dates in mind.
